Relevant Experience:

I am editor in a TV and Web news agency in Spain during the last 10 years. At the same time I have obtained my degree in Political Philosophy and now I am writing my PhD about Democracy, Civil Society and Media. I have spoken at several conferences on various topics about Democracy. I also won the Three Cultures Award at CarmonaFilmFest (Seville 2003) with a documentary about War on Iraq.

Why do you want to serve on the Board?

I want to help young democracy activists to spread their message. I would like to ensure that the process of building the EU will not be repudiated from a democratic point of view.

What skills can you contribute to the leadership and objectives of the network?

I am a journalist and political philosopher. I know the importance of freedom, justice and peace, but not only as good ideas for a story on TV. There are many ways that we can say democracy, and not all of them are desirable. I hope that developing democracies reach the level of prosperity that we have now in Europe.

What do you envision for the future of the WYMD?

Young people have the desires and the will to change the world, so WYMD must became an organization at the same level that UNESCO, FAO, Greenpeace, IA, RSF and other social civil agents.
